Underwater Lightroom Lab
A live, small-group editing workshop for underwater photographers who want to feel confident in their edits — and supported while learning.
This is a space to slow down, ask questions, and edit together. We’ll work through underwater images in real time, unpack what’s actually happening in Lightroom, and build an editing process that makes sense for you — without pressure, presets, or pre-recorded videos.
You’ll learn how to bring depth, colour, and intention into your underwater photos, understand why certain adjustments work, and gain the confidence to edit your own images with clarity. Just as importantly, you’ll be learning alongside a small group of photographers who are on the same journey — sharing ideas, asking questions, and supporting each other along the way.
This workshop is about more than editing.
It’s about confidence, community, and feeling proud of your work!!
Introducing…
-
I have been using Adobe Lightroom and shooting underwater photography for the last 7 years and just recently was contacted by the Adobe Learn team to make a tutorial for them for the website about my process. I have also delivered this exact workshop over 10 times in in-person events from James Cook University, the Sydney Institute of Marine Science and more!
Or you could just take my word for it ;P
-
When I started my underwater editing journey, I spent hours watching YouTube videos — but the truth is, all I really wanted was to be able to pause the video and ask specific questions about the process. That’s how I learn best, and I couldn’t find that anywhere.
On top of that, I tackled most of my underwater photography journey on my own, and I would have loved the chance to learn alongside other aspiring underwater photographers. For these reasons, it felt important to create something different — a truly supportive, interactive space where we can build each other up while improving our editing skills together.
My goal with this workshop is not just to teach Lightroom, but to create a small community in a space that felt intimidating and unwelcoming to me at first — and turn it into one that feels encouraging, accessible, and human.

Yes. The workshop is designed for beginner to advanced underwater photographers.
If you’re new to editing, you’ll gain a clear framework for approaching underwater images in Lightroom. If you’re more experienced, you’ll refine your workflow and creative decision-making.
Because it’s a live session, you can ask questions at your own level.
-
No. I provide a folder of RAW underwater images for everyone to practice on during the session.
You’re welcome to bring your own images if you’d like, but the focus is on learning the process, not comparing results!
-
Yes. A short-term replay will be available to attendees for 7 days after the session.
The replay is provided as a learning support so you can revisit key moments — it’s not intended to replace the live experience and will not be accessible after those 7 days.
